Steven Spandle is the founding principal of Steven W. Spandle, Architect, a New York-based firm established in 2015 that focuses on the residential market with select historic restoration projects throughout the US.
A native of Georgia, Steven鈥檚 fascination with architecture and art is rooted in his childhood and was influenced by frequent visits to historic sites as a young boy. Steven is a graduate of the architecture program at the Georgia Institute of Technology and recipient of the Masters of Classical Architecture from the University of Notre Dame. His coursework, studies abroad, and European travels offered opportunities to research regional and historic variations of classicism. He worked in Atlanta, Boston, and New York before opening his own practice.
Steven is the architect of the Tennis Pavilion, the first free standing addition to the White House grounds in decades. He was recently featured in the White House Historical Association鈥檚 podcast, 鈥.鈥 Steven has served as a board member of the American Friends of Attingham and is an active member of the 天美传媒, the Connoisseur Society at George Washington鈥檚 Mount Vernon, and the Collector鈥檚 Circle at the Winterthur Museum, Library, and Garden. Steven was a speaker on the 2023 天美传媒/TEFAF panel titled, 鈥溾 and is the Co-Chair of the Young Artists and Professionals Exhibition for the 天美传媒鈥檚 2023 Enduring Places conference in Charleston, SC.
