The ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ is pleased to partner with Classical Excursions to present this exceptional tour highlighting the incredible sites of India which will travel to Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Mandawa, Nagaur, and Jodhpur. Led by author and travel writer Cosmo Brockway, travelers will immerse themselves in the culture visiting the historical and architectural treasures of India.

This tour is arranged by Classical Excursions. Please note, that you must contact Classical Excursions’ Director, Lani Summerville to formally register for this program. Upon completing a registration form, submitting a deposit to Classical Excursions, and receiving a confirmation from Classical Excursions you will be considered registered for this program. A fully tax-deductible donation of $600 per person is required to participate in this travel program. Please note that this donation is non-refundable except in the case that this travel program is cancelled by the organization. All travel program participants have the opportunity to receive a complimentary Individual level membership for one year to the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½.

The group will begin the program with a full day of touring including visits to the Red Fort, Humayan's Tomb and Qutub Minar.

Group dinner in the Imperial hotel's beautiful Spice Route restaurant with a lecture on Lutyens & Imperial India by noted author and historian Giles Tillotson.

The tour includes visits to the Jama Masjid Mosque dating to 1640’s and built by Shah Jahan – builder of the Taj Mahal, and the India Gate.

Particpants will visit Itmad-ud-Daula, a Mughal mausoleum described as a jewel box and also as mini-Taj.

The group will tour the Agra Fort built by Emperor Akbar in 1565 and contains a complex of marble Mughal palaces.

The group will take a special early morning sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal, bathed in morning soft light.

The tour will stop between Agra and Jaipur at Fatehpur Sikri, which Emperor Akbar built as his capital in the 16th century. The city is impeccably well preserved and gives insight into daily court life.

The group will tour Jaipur visiting the City Palace, the private Chandra Mahal, Hawa Mahal, and Amber Fort which is perched in the hills above the city. High Tea at the stunning Villa Palladio with the owner. Curated shopping in Jaipur with Cosmo today.

The participants will tour the iconic painted 18th century Haveli mansions of the Shekhawati region, including: Nawalgarh and Jhunjhunu.

The group will enjoy a special dinner Alsisar Mahal Palace with the royal owner.

The tour will feature a visit to and special candlelit Royal Risala dinner at the privately owned 18th century Nagaur Fort.

The group will visit the Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur, known as the blue city.

The tour will conclude with a gala dinner in the great hall of the Taj Umaid Bhawan Palace where the group will stay for the night.

What does the required $600 donation fund?

Your $600 donation helps to further the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½â€™s goal of advancing the practice and appreciation of the classical tradition in architecture and the allied arts by supporting its varied educational programs, including continuing education courses, college workshops, the Summer Studio in Classical Architecture, New Heights, and many more.

Am I required to pay a $600 donation for each travel program I register for?

You can make your $600 donation to the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ online, or you can download, complete, and mail this form to the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½. You can alternatively fax a copy to 212-730-9649. Do I have to be a member of the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ to participate in an ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ travel program?

No, membership is not required to attend an ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ travel program. However, complimentary Individual membership to the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ is included with your $600 required donation.
