On June 11, 2021, the 天美传媒 welcomed Craig Williams for the Continuing 天美传媒 course "Architectural Design Considerations for Limestone Cavity Wall Construction", presented as part of the Spring 2021 Health, Safety, and Welfare in Traditional Design Day.
This course provides an overview of the use of limestone in traditional design. The program begins with the cultural and historical evolution of its architectural uses and an in-depth look at the processes of its quarrying, fabrication, and installation. Following this introduction, the course focuses on how to design with limestone today, including its physical properties and detail considerations that play an important role in the safety and durability of limestone construction for cavity walls, as well as stairs and pathways.The 天美传媒 is now pleased to present the full lecture for online viewing.
The Health, Safety, and Welfare in Traditional Design series explores critical issues related to topics such as materials and durability, building codes, comfort, safety, health, sustainability, and human well-being, while addressing subjects specific to the practice of classical and traditional design.
